What cookies are
Cookies are small records a site stores in your browser. This policy also covers similar technologies: browser storage, tags and tracking pixels.
How this site uses them
We sort everything into three categories: necessary, analytics and marketing. Nothing beyond the necessary category runs until you allow it through the cookie banner, and the banner appears before any such tool loads.
Necessary
One browser-storage entry, avaroes-consent-v1, records the choice you made in the banner and is kept for up to twelve months. Our host may set short-lived technical items to serve pages securely. These carry no advertising function.
Analytics, off by default
If you allow analytics, we load Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics. Google sets cookies such as _ga, which persists for about fourteen months, to show us how the site is used in aggregate.
Marketing, off by default
If you allow marketing, we load the Meta Pixel. Meta sets cookies such as _fbp, which persists for about three months, to measure the reach of our campaigns.
Changing your mind
Cookie settings in the footer reopens the banner at any time. Withdrawing consent stops the tools from that moment; cookies already set expire on their own schedule, or immediately if you clear them in your browser.
Third parties
Google and Meta process this data under their own privacy policies. Your choice is passed to Google through Consent Mode, so its tags respect it even when they load.

When this policy changes we publish the new version here with a new date.
